The following instructions are intended to help you prepare your face mesh so that it is ready for uploading to Ziva Face Trainer.
Skill level: Generalist 3D artist. Familiarity with Autodesk® Maya® or other 3D modeling software is recommended.
Estimated time: 4 hours based on having previous experience working with meshes in a 3D modeling tool.
Prerequisites
Software that can be used to map the Ziva Face Trainer mesh to another face mesh. There are several options, such as R3DS Wrap by Russian3dScanner LLC or other 3D modeling software to transfer the Ziva topology. By way of example only, we have included instructions on how to transfer a Ziva topology onto your face mesh using R3DS Wrap (www.russian3dscanner.com). Please make sure you review the legal terms associated with any 3D modeling software as Unity is not responsible for any non-Unity software.
The OBJ file of a 3D face model.
A 3D character modeling software must be installed. The software must be able to produce a polygon mesh and export to FBX. By way of example only, we have included instructions on how to increase resolution and position meshes using Autodesk Maya 2022.
If you are using 3D software other than those mentioned above, the instructions can be used as a general guide for preparing a face mesh for Ziva Face Trainer; the steps you perform may differ.
